A Displaced Village which was situated on a dome-shaped hill along the Mediterranean coast, east of the coastal highway, and along the railway line. In the late 19th century, the village of Az-Zib was built with stone structures on the seashore.
The village also had a small mosque, and its houses were closely clustered, constructed with either stone and mud or stone and reinforced cement. In the village, there was an elementary school established by the Ottoman Empire in 1882, along with a mosque and a clinic. The inhabitants were engaged in fishing and agriculture, particularly fruit tree cultivation.
The village was occupied following an attack by the Carmeli Brigade on it and the neighboring villages on May 14, 1948.
