Suhmata is The road to Safad about 177 kilometers from the coastal line, between Al-Buqay'ah and Tarsheha. The site is surrounded by a fence, with a closed gate. From the archaeological evidence at the site, it appears that the location has been converted into a pen for livestock from one of the nearby Jewish settlements. The view from there overlooks Suhmata to the west, where Tarsheha and the Jewish settlement of Ma'alot Tarsheha are visible. Suhmata is situated approximately 600 meters above sea level, and from its summit, one can see the coastline of Acre. The main road connecting the coastal area to Safad passes through the center of the ruins of Suhmata, dividing it into two separate sections.
